LANSING, MI (WKZO) -- After a somewhat rough start, the Spartans got a big win, 42-28, over the Hoosiers in their homecoming game. The victory was also MSU's fifth straight win over Indiana, and marked the 500th game played at their home stadium.
Junior tailback Jeremy Langford had a personal-best four touchdowns, and was responsible for 109 of the team's 238 yards. Langford also became the first Spartan to score four touchdowns in one game since 2010.
The rough start entailed a 64-yard run for the Hoosiers barely a minute into the game, but MSU evened things out by the 2nd quarter with Langford's first touchdown. Freshman kicker Michael Geiger was no slouch either, adding the PAT to each of Langford's scores.
Now 5-1 this season, MSU is set to play Purdue next Saturday. Broadcast time is set for 11 PM on AM 590 WKZO.
