Kalamazoo, MI (WKZO) – In front of 14,722 fans on Homecoming the Broncos were shutout by the Buffalo Bulls 33-0, the first time the Broncos have been shutout since Nov. 6th 2004 against Bowling Green.
Branden Oliver had 128 yards rushing for the Bulls who have now won four straight as WMU drops to 0-7 for the first time since 1996.
Zach Terrell made the start at quarterback for WMU in place of the injured Tyler VanTubbergen and went 16-34 for 164 yards and two interceptions. Dareyon Chance led the Broncos in rushing with nine carries for 54 yards.
Buffalo scored only six points in the first half, as their offense woke up in the second half, scoring 17 points in the third and 10 in the fourth, after the game was already well out of hand.
WMU welcomes Ball St. to Waldo Stadium next Saturday. Kick-off is set for noon.
