KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Twenty-eight-year-old Jermal Donte Clark from Benton Harbor has been arraigned for the murder of a Kalamazoo woman.
Kalamazoo Public Safety was called to a home in the 1400-block of North Church Street on October 6th around 4 p.m. only to find 52-year-old Rita Kay Williams dead from stab wounds. Clark is believed to be the last person to see her alive and he was picked up a short distance from the scene.
Clark was arraigned on a charge of open murder Tuesday and is scheduled to be back in court on October 22nd for a preliminary examination. An autopsy in the case is not expected for at least six to eight weeks.
No other information in the case is being released at this time.
