LANSING (WKZO) -- Welcome to beer country where a draft beer comes from a tap, and a pint should be a full 16 ounces.
So says west Michigan Democrat Brandon Dillon who is co-sponsoring legislation that would make it a violation of the liquor control act to advertise you are selling pints, but actually serving something smaller.
He calls it a pet peeve, one that he has experienced personally.
Dillon says they regulate gas pumps to make sure when you buy a gallon, you get a gallon...why not beer?
It may run into opposition from bar owners who use "cheater" glasses with thicker bottoms, who don’t want to replace all their glasses.
Supporters of the measure says they don’t need new glasses, they just need to stop calling it a pint.
