KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Coming up October 17th and 18th, visitors from all over the world will be in Kalamazoo for the 2013 International Conference on Healthcare Information Technology Advancement. Western Michigan University's Dean of the Haworth College of Business Doctor Kay Palan says that improvements in the technology of healthcare are key to what's happening in the industry, and ease of access to information will be a focus of the experts who gather at the Fetzer Center.
She says electronic records will also likely be a discussion topic, along with the privacy concerns those records raise.
