KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Public Safety has released the name of a woman who was found dead inside her home on North Church Street Sunday afternoon.
Detectives have ordered more tests to try and determine what killed 52-year-old Rita Kay Williams, after an autopsy apparently did not reveal an immediate and obvious physical cause of death.
They are now calling a 28-year-old man from Benton Harbor who was the last to see her alive, a “person of interest” in the case but they won’t be able to hold him without producing a formal charge.
The news release says it will take 6 to 8 weeks to get lab results from the autopsy back.
They say they won’t be releasing any additional information for now.
