KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A series of climate change related events will be taking place in Kalamazoo starting this Thursday, going through the middle of next week. In all, about 20 presentations will be given by environmentalists invited to the area by the Western Michigan University Center for the Humanities.

The university's Doctor Paul Clements, professor of political science, says that one prominent speaker will be in town Thursday. It's Bill McKibben, who will speak at Miller Auditorium. He's a nationally known climate change activist.

You can register to attend that speech -- called "The End of Nature: Notes from the Front Lines of the Climate Fight" -- at WMich.edu/humanities/events. That's also where you can find out about all the other climate change events in town this week.
