DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - Chrysler is experiencing some technical difficulties. Computer problems have been blamed for the recent delays in the launch of two vehicles from Chrysler Group LLC and the automaker says they are taking steps to improve quality. Computer software is used in several areas of vehicles today from the engine to the entertainment system. Chrysler officials say the problems forced delays in getting the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the RAM Heavy Duty Pickup to customers.
Chrysler is not the only automaker experiencing software issues. Lincoln Motor Company's new MKZ was hampered by computer and quality problems which led to a delay of nearly fourmonths before dealers got the vehicle.
