LANSING, MI (WTVB) - A new poll shows that a majority of Michigan voters support raising taxes to fund road -repairs. The poll by EPIC MRA, released Tuesday, shows that voters would favor an increase of one-percentage point in the state sales tax to fix and maintain the state's roads. Of those polled, 57% said they would favor the increase, while 42% were opposed to it. The poll also showed that a sales tax hike was more acceptable to voters than a fuel tax hike or increase in vehicle registration fees.
