ALMENA (WKZO) -- A traffic stop in Almena Township has resulted in drug charges.
A Van Buren County Sheriff's deputy pulled over a 1996 Honda Accord for having expired license plates around 8:30 p.m. Monday. A search of the vehicle turned up six grams of marijuana, two grams of crystal meth, a couple of Hydrocodone pills and an open whiskey bottle. Also seized were 315-dollars in cash.
The 40-year-old Paw Paw man driving the vehicle is expected to be charged with possession of marijuana, possession of meth, possession of the prescription medication, and having an open intoxicant in a vehicle.
