KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo Transit Authority Chair Linda Teeter is thanking voters for approving the renewal of the countywide transit millage this week. She says it's needed more than ever, as an increasing number of people use mass transit to deal with high gas prices
She says that, if you try riding a county bus, you'll see there's a wide variety of people taking advantage of the service. From students riding to western Michigan University, to folks taking a bus downtown to work, lots are using them.
Teeter says the county is starting to integrate many of its transportation services under the umbrella of the Transit Authority. Eventually, that'll help officials better plan for Kalamazoo County's future needs.
