KALAMAZOO (WKZO) – According to the Kalamazoo Marathon page, all participants are encouraged to arrive at the Nazareth campus at least one hour before the start of their event. Above is the official parking and shuttle routes for race day.
Carpooling and making use of the shuttles on race day are the best options according to race director Blaine Lam.
Shuttle information is as follows:
Shuttles from the Radisson (100 E. Michigan Avenue)
Leaves for campus between 6 and 6:30 a.m.
Returns to Radisson at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Shuttles from Borgess Heart Institute (Shaffer, across from Borgess Medical Center)
Leaves for campus between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m.
Returns to Heart Institute every 15 minutes, starting at 9:15 a.m. through 3 p.m.
Other traffic/parking information:
Nazareth Road: north of Gull Road, and the Nazareth/Borgess Health & Fitness Center campus will be closed from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m..
Emergency traffic: on campus will be possible during that time during the southwest entrance, near the Borgess Health & Fitness Center.
Borgess Heart Institute Shuttles Shuttle will run at 9:15 a.m. for runners, family,
friends, spectators and volunteers with that plan to attend mid-morning. They will run every 15 minutes between 8:30 and 2 p.m.
Morning and Afternoon Radisson Shuttles:
Shuttles to the Radisson will leave campus on the hour, beginning at 9 a.m., ending at 3 p.m.
Shuttles from the Radisson to campus will leave on the half-hour, beginning at 9:30 a.m., ending at 2:30 p.m.
Shuttles to and from remote parking: lot will leave every 15 minutes, beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m.
