PORTAGE (WKZO) -- There's a series of forums taking place at the Portage Senior Center this month to address the issue of dementia and mild cognitive impairment.
Barbara Betts-Swartz, with the Michigan Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, says they will be May 2nd, May 16th, and May 30th, all at six PM. On hand will be experts, people who have experienced memory loss, and panelists for round table discussions. Betts-Swartz says that just about everyone has had someone in their life affected by memory loss.
Advance registration is required to attend. You can do so by calling the Portage Senior Center at 269-329-4555.
