LANSING (WKZO) -- Republican State Senator John Proos expects good things to come from Michigan's new status as a Right to Work state. He says that the whole Right to Work movement in Michigan began when Indiana passed such a law, and was suddenly much more attractive to business.
Jobs started bleeding out of Southwest Michigan to below the state line, and Proos says lawmakers took notice. He thinks the benefits of Right to Work have been demonstrated in the majority of other states where such laws are on the books.
Opponents of Right to Work say that it'll mean lower wages, and allege that the law is just an attempt to hurt Democratic fundraising.
