WASHINGTON (WKZO) -- The ban on affirmative action in Michigan is being reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court. The high court will hear arguments after a federal appeals court threw out the state's voter approved law that removes race as a consideration at universities during the admissions process. Michigan's law also prohibits race as a measure during hiring and in government contracting. The federal appeals court says the ban violated the U.S. Constitution under the equal protection clause.
