KENTWOOD (WKZO) -- Court documents show David and Vivian Bouwman of Kentwood put up a fight before they were killed in early January.  He was shot at least three times, while she was shot at least twice, and he had injuries that resulted from a fight with the killer.

Javonte Higgins is accused of killing the two and is fighting extradition from Illinois, where he was arrested on unrelated charges on January 18th.  An extradition hearing is scheduled for April 22nd.
