HARTFORD (WKZO) -- Two Hartford residents could soon faces charges related to meth manufacturing. The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit received a tip about alleged meth manufacturing in Hartford by a pair of individuals believed to be transporting and storing meth lab components in a vehicle.
Deputies found the vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on Marion Street with two people inside. The 23-year-old woman behind the wheel turned out to be the vehicle's owner and she consented to a search. That search turned up meth lab components in a backpack in the trunk.
The 24-year-old man in the passenger seat turned out to be wanted on an unrelated home invasion charge and he was arrested. No arrests related to the meth manufacturing investigation have been made, but charges are being sought.
