2011's American League MVP gave up five earned runs in just over four innings pitched Monday afternoon as the Tigers fell to the New York Mets in an 11-0 final.
Phil Coke was responsible for three earned runs given up in the loss, while the Tigers could only muster up five hits from an ensamble of expected regular season starters and farm team players.
The loss moves Detroit to 9-8 in Grapefruit League play.
