Clearwater, FL - Ramon Santiago’s grand slam in the third inning lifted the Tigers over the Philadelphia Phillies 10-6 on Tuesday.

Don Kelly also homered and Alex Avila had two doubles for the Tigers who are now 10-8 in Grapefruit league action.

Tiger’s starter Drew Smyly allowed three runs, two earned, and five hits while striking out one in 3 1/3 innings.

Phillies starter Roy Halladay allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings.

Detroit takes on Florida Southern on Wednesday before facing the Mets on Thursday.
