CARO (WKZO) -- They get criticized if they don’t and they get criticized if they do, so public school officials these days tend to over-react when anything that might anger a parent shows up.

Case in point, at Schall Elementary in Caro Michigan, a mom baked up a batch of Cupcakes and decorated each one with a little green plastic Army soldier.

The School called it ‘insensitive’ to send armed cupcakes into school after Sandy Hook, and had the soldiers removed before the cupcakes were served.

Casey Fountain, the boy’s dad says its unfortunate that school officials can’t differentiate between U.S. Soldiers who are good guys, and crazed psychopaths who shoot up schools.

The Birthday boy was sent home with his army soldiers in a bag. The school is standing by its decision, and they are taking a beating for it in the media.
