East Lansing, MI (WKZO) – The Spartans trailed for only 45 seconds and were up by as much as 23 in the second half, as they rolled over Wisconsin 58-43. With the win MSU’s hope of a shared Big Ten Championship remain alive with one game remaining before the conference tournament.

If MSU can take care of business by defeating Northwestern at home on Sunday, and Michigan beats Indiana, the Spartans will share a piece of the regular season title with Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio State, if the Buckeyes win against Illinois.

Michigan State trailed the Badgers 12-10 with 9:11 left in the first half but scored 10 straight and held a 25-18 lead at halftime. Wisconsin scored the first basket after the intermission but was then held scoreless for 7:08 while Michigan State scored 16 in a row.

Keith Appling had a game high 19 and freshman Garry Harris finished with 11.
