MERIDIAN (WKZO) -- Court records in the murder trial of Conner McCowan in Ingham County indicate he was upset that Andrew Singler was arguing with his sister.

McCowan is facing an open murder charge in the death of Singler, who was a Michigan State University student.  The victim was stabbed in the heart and the arm following the argument with the suspect's sister.

The 19-year-old suspect is being held without bond in the Ingham County Jail.
