NOVI (WKZO) -- Michigan's Film and Digital Media Incentive has played a role in attracting another feature film production to the state.
First-time director and producer Michael Angelo Zervos intends to make a film in Novi titled "Papou," which is a Greek word for "grandfather." He'll be directing international film actor Yorgo Voyagis, child actor Evan Kole, and Emmy-Nominated comedian Basile in the film which will be staffed with an all-local crew.
The film's budget is 200-thousand dollars and is set to finish principal photography by the end of this summer with a theatrical release set for some time in 2014. They have more information online at the film company's website, MotherAndMidwife.com.
