ALLEGAN COUNTY (WKZO) -- The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says a Grand Rapids man is facing charges for allegedly trying to sell a catfish on the internet. The man was using Craig's List to attempt to sell the fish, which was sport-caught in the Kalamazoo River in Allegan County.
First Lieutenant Timothy Robson, with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, says that's illegal. You can't just catch fish on a sport license and sell them. Doing so would raise all sorts of questions about health and safety.
The crime is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 90 days in jail and a fine of up to a thousand dollars.
