EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) - Michigan State University's Board of Trustees has approved a two-tier tuition increase. On Friday, the board approved an increase that will make tuition higher for upperclassman. Under the tuition hike, freshman and sophomores will see a one-point-nine-percent hike, while juniors and seniors will see a three-point-six-percent jump. MSU officials justified the split increase by saying it would ease the transition to campus.
