LANSING (WKZO) -- House Democrats are unveiling a package of gay marriage bills.
The first is a joint resolution that would amend Michigan's constitution which banned gay marriage in 2004. The second bill would make it legal for gay marriages that took place in other states to be recognized in Michigan.
The state Senate had already introduced similar bills. The announcement comes as the U.S. Supreme Court is expected to rule this week on California's Proposal 8 which recognizes only marriages between a man and a woman, and passed back in 2008.
