KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo City Commissioners will be interviewing representatives from four executive search firms Monday evening, as they restart their search for a new City Manager.
They terminated their contract with Bob Murray and Associates because they were not satisfied with the quality of the candidates they got, or the search firm’s efforts to recruit the kind of candidates they want.
The Commission says they may be starting over, but they aren’t starting from zero. They say they learned a lot, and plan to give the search firm much better instructions and a more precise candidate profile this time.
The interviews begin at 5:30 at Kalamazoo City Hall.
