LANSING (WKZO) -- A bill that would ban using Bridge Cards at LIQUOR STORES or STRIP CLUBS has been proposed by Rep. Margaret O’Brien of Portage.

Last year the Legislature banned their use at ATM’s in Casinos. Banning them from ATM’s located in Strip Clubs and Liquor Stores is just the next logical step according to O’Brien.

She says the state isn’t in the business of financing anyone’s night life, but she says there are always a few bad apples who abuse the system.

About 55-thousand Michigan Families can use their Bridge Cards at ATM’s to withdraw welfare payments.
