OVERISEL (WKZO) -- A serious crash in Allegan County Tuesday morning has left one dead and two injured. Around 8:13 a.m., Allegan County Sheriff's deputies responded to a personal injury crash at 140th Avenue and 46th Street in Overisel Township where they found two vehicles that had collided before spinning off the roadway into a soybean field.
An initial investigation found that 40-year-old Jason Onstott from Zeeland was headed south on 46th and missed a stop sign. It is believed his vehicle struck that of 61-year-old Glenn Kleinheksel and 57-year-old David Bremer, both from Holland, at the intersection.
Bremer was flown by Aero-Med helicopter to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids, only to die while in surgery around 1:15 p.m. Onstott and Kleinheksel were taken to Holland Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injures.
Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
