EAST LANSING (WKZO) -- The Michigan Political Leadership Program is recruiting students for its next round of classes. The program is run by the Michigan State University Institute for Public Policy and Social Research, and each year, it teaches proper and effective leadership skills to aspiring lawmakers in a bipartisan, strictly practical way.
Co Director Steve Tobocman says some Kalamazoo areas leaders are graduates -- State Representatives Sean McCann and Margaret O'Brien.
Tobocman says they're looking for the next crop of students to be trained all over the state in things like ethics, campaigning, media relations, and party management. To find out more about becoming one of those two dozen students, follow this link.
