KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo Public School Board Treasurer Ervin Armstrong has announced that he will be stepping down from his position at the end of the month for personal reasons. The board of education is thanking him for his commitment to service ahead of his departure.
By state law, the district has just 30 days to fill Armstrong's position. There is a year and a half left in his term, and Kalamazoo Public Schools will be looking to fill his position.
Applications for the position are available during business hours at the Kalamazoo Public Schools Administration Building at 1220 Howard Street and are due by August 9th. The Board of Education will review applications and finalists will be interviewed in the latter portion of August with a final decision expected to be announced on August 29th.
