RICHLAND (WKZO) -- A man from Richland has now died from injuries he suffered in a violent collision Thursday near his hometown.
Kalamazoo County Deputies say 68-year-old James Cochran was riding in a Jeep Liberty that was struck in its passenger side door by a teenager in a Pontiac who reported failed to stop at the stop sign at East D Ave. and North 28th Street.
Cochran and the 46-year-old driver of the Jeep were rushed to Borgess Medical Center. That’s where Cochran died from his injuries Sunday.
The name of the driver has not been released. He was admitted in serious condition.
The 18-year-old at-fault driver, who was also from Richland, was treated and released. He could face charges. The accident remains under investigation.
