BLOOMINGDALE TOWNSHIP (WKZO) -- A Kalamazoo man spent Sunday in the Van Buren County Jail after he was caught piloting a boat while under the influence.
The County Marine Patrol spotted the 58-year-old traveling in the wrong direction on a Pontoon boat around Eagle Lake in Bloomingdale Township Saturday night.
He wasn’t cited for that, but was ticketed for not having a pre-schooler in a life-jacket and arrested for a blood alcohol count that was just over the legal limit. He could be arraigned sometime today. [mon]
