WASHINGTON (WKZO) -- The race to fill the seat of retiring U.S. Senator Carl Levin is heating up, as former Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land has announced she will run for the Republican nomination. In an e-mail Monday, Land told supporters she will be filing paperwork to run and asked for donations for her campaign. Meanwhile, the only Democrat to announce his run, U.S. Representative Gary Peters says he has raised more than one-million-dollars since he declared his candidacy two months ago.
