TECUMSEH (WKZO) -- It could take several weeks for the Federal Aviation Administration to determine what error allowed a Spirit Airlines jet and a plane carrying skydivers to come within a mile-and-a-half of each other over Lenawee County. The Airbus 319 that departed Detroit Metropolitan Airport on Sunday night suddenly dove sixteen-hundred feet when a cockpit warning system notified the Spirit pilot about the other aircraft that was near the same altitude of about fourteen-thousand feet. The Spirit plane continued its flight to Dallas-Ft. Worth without incident.
