ZEELAND (WKZO) -- Students in Zeeland are out of class for the rest of the day.  A strong odor of natural gas was detected Thursday morning at Zeeland East High School, and students were evacuated just before 8:00 a.m.  The building was later deemed safe by fire personnel, but due to the need to clean the facility and prepare for a normal school day Friday, students from both Zeeland East and Zeeland West were released for the day just before 9:30 a.m.
