The Flash Gordon star has teamed up with chiefs at O2 to record greetings in his ""sonorous voice and even mightier volume"" to mark the launch of two new devices.

The first 100 customers to order the phones will receive a personalised voicemail message, and Blessed has vowed to entertain callers.
