PORTAGE (WKZO) -- A group of citizens concerned about the presence of proposed new LED billboards on the grounds of some Portage Public Schools is expected to be present at a discussion about the subject this coming Monday.
Of the four proposed billboards, two would be on the grounds of Portage Northern High School, one would be on the grounds of 12th Street Elementary School, and one would sit on the playground at Angling Road Elementary School. Those billboards with Adams Outdoor Advertising would be expected to generate 84,000-dollars a year for the Portage school district as part of a 20-year agreement.
A community discussion is planned for February 4th at 6:30 p.m. at Portage's North Middle School.
