KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A Berrien County man faces a dozen felony charges, including Rape, Kidnapping and assault after he and another man allegedly kicked their way into the apartment of his ex-girlfriend last week, armed with a shotgun, wearing masks and possibly seeking vengeance.
31-year-old Danny Paul Vinson is being held on a million dollars bond in the Kalamazoo County Jail. Police are still seeking the second man.
State Police say it happened early Tuesday morning at the Big Bend Apartments in Kalamazoo Township.
They claim the woman was sexually assaulted and then forced into a car. She wound up in the emergency room in Waterviliet. That’s where State Police were called Tuesday to investigate the crime. The two reportedly have a history of domestic abuse.
Vinson was arrested at his parent’s home in Benton Harbor and charged with 12 felonies including two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, assault, armed robbery and half a dozen gun counts.
