DETROIT (WKZO) -- Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick will be going back to prison for violating terms of his parole. Michigan Department of Corrections officials say the former mayor will be in prison for three days starting Friday afternoon and will be released Monday morning.
An investigation by the MDOC found at total of 14 violations of his parole. Those include not reporting money transfers to his wife, and not reporting his full monthly expenses and income between September and December.
Kilpatrick, his father Bernard Kilpatrick and contractor Bobby Ferguson are currently on trial in federal court in Detroit on charges including corruption, embezzlement and tax evasion.
