KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- He is not your usual bank robber. Kalamazoo Public Safety says a man in his late 60’s or early 70-‘s walked into the Fifth Third Bank branch in the 4100-block of Portage Road, pulled out a silver handgun shortly after 10 a.m. Friday and robbed the place.
He fled north on foot. What he didn’t know was a red dye-pack was in with the money, which exploded shortly after he ran out the door.
A K9 unit attempted to track him, but lost his scent.
He is a 5’ 6” white male weighing around 140-pounds with no facial hair, and "bad teeth." He was last seen wearing a navy blue stocking cap, green nylon zip-up jacket with black pants and rose-tinted glasses, that may have also been splashed with red dye.
