KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A Kalamazoo Teenager was scheduled to go on trial this week for allegedly murdering Martin Schau at the corner of Ada and Burell early on the morning of September 24th, by clubbing him over the head with a tree branch. Instead
17 year old Shemar Campbell has entered a guilty plea to a charge of 2nd degree murder in a bargain with prosecutors.
Campbell has no prior felonies and in exchange for the plea, they have agreed not to make a sentencing recommendation.
The confrontation apparently occurred because the two exchanged angry words. Campbell will be sentenced in Mid February.
