KENTWOOD (WKZO) -- The man accused of killing an elderly Kentwood couple is not coming back to Kent County without a fight.

Javonte Higgins is in custody in Chicago and fighting extradition back to Michigan, where he faces murder charges for allegedly killing David and Vivian Bouwman.  He will be back in court in the Windy City on February 20th.

Higgins was arrested late last week in Chicago and is being held in the Cook County Jail without bond.
