LANSING (WKZO) -- Governor Rick Snyder is considering a replacement for former state Supreme Court Justice Diane Hathaway and says while he has no time line to announce the appointment, he will not be dragging out the process.
Hathaway is accused of transferring ownership of a home in Florida to a relative while trying to get approval for a short short sale of a home in Grosse Pointe. She is facing federal bank fraud charges and retired from the court Monday.
Snyder says he will consult with his staff and the current justices of the Supreme Court before he makes his decision about Hathaway's replacement.
