BOWLING GREEN, OH (WKZO) -- The Broncos were defeated 3-2 tonight on a hard fought game.

The first period was back and forth without much team really able to establish themselves on offense.  There wasn't much action until the 16:41 mark when Chase Balisy put the Broncos up 1-0.  The goal came on a 2 on 1 break, Shane Berschbach hit the post and Balisy cleaned up the rebound for his eighth of the season.  The goal was under review for quite some time but was ruled good and Western Michigan took the one goal advantage into the intermission.

In the second period the Falcons took control of the game.  At 12:15 Mark Cooper tied the game with his sixth goal of the year.  Just a few minutes later at 15:18 Ryan Carpenter chipped in his ninth of the season giving Bowling Green the 2-1 advantage.  The Broncos answered back at 19:44 when Kenney Morrison added a power play goal, tying the game on his sixth goal of the year.

At 5:17 into the third the Falcons struck first as Dajon Mingo netted his fifth of the year.  With time ticking down in the period the Broncos found themselves with a 5 on 3 man advantage for three minutes but were unable to find the back of the net leading to their 3-2 defeat.
