KALAMAZOO, MI (1660 THE FAN) -- The WMU Women's Basketball team broke a 5-game losing streak this afternoon with an 84-77 victory over Akron, OH. This marks the first MAC victory for WMU this season, and also Akron's first league-play loss. 

The team played especially hard, with Marquisha Harris getting her first double-double (19 points and 12 rebounds) and Miracle Woods scoring 15 points, her personal best.

Next, the team travels to DeKalb to play Northern Illinois on Wednesday, the 23rd. Broadcast time on 1660 The Fan is 7:30 PM.
