KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- President Obama's gun safety proposals mean big business for gun stores in West Michigan.
At Point Blank Shooting Range in Benton Harbor, Roy Daugherty says business has tripled. Daugherty says people are stocking up on guns and ammunition.
Jessie Klooster works at Al and Bob's Sports in Wyoming and says customers are scooping up ammunition. A manager says they did six times as many sales Wednesday compared to the same day last year.
Kalamazoo-area gun stores say they're seeing the same sort of rush. At Mendon's Feek's Tactical, manager Lynn Feek says they are selling out of high-capacity magazines, and she adds most people are buying guns because they fear the government will take them away.
