MOUNT PLEASANT (WKZO) -- A female student at Central Michigan University who was abducted and raped is safe and her alleged attacker is dead. Police say the woman was taken by the 30-year-old suspect in her own vehicle after leaving an event.
After the, assault the suspect then got two cans of gasoline and threatened to kill the woman. She jumped from the moving vehicle and ran to nearby home for help. The suspect set that home on fire then fled north. He tried to flee from police near Gaylord but was shot and killed.
The suspect's name has not been released.
