KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- KVET officers with Kalamazoo Public Safety's Community Outreach Problem Solving Division searched a residence in the 6100-block of Francis Street Thursday morning that was suspected to be involved in the production of meth. With help from the Kalamazoo Metro SWAT team, they found meth components and an active meth lab. They also found a loaded rifle, discarded meth waste, and suspected finished meth product.
Five people were found in the home, all claiming to live there. A 35-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants, a 23-year-old man was arrested for possession of meth, and another 37-year-old man was arrested on a parole absconder warrant.
Charges are being sought in the case, including manufacturing meth, felony firearm, maintaining a drug house, and possession of meth.
