The comedy duo has formed Important Studios for future TV and film projects, including a possible big-screen adaptation of their hit Broadway musical, The Book Of Mormon.
Stone and Parker are looking forward to taking charge, telling the New York Times, ""Having worked with several different studios over the years, we came to realise that our favourite people in the world are ourselves.""
The creative partners, and best pals, are modelling their new venture on Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks movie studio and George Lucas' Lucasfilm.
Stone adds, ""In some ways it's a stupid comparison because they are gargantuan. We want to be a smaller, more humble version of that. If DreamWorks is (U.S. retail giant) Walmart, we are over here knitting sweaters.""
